Procedure to get Tour Guide License in Dubai

For those aspiring to become a tour guide in Dubai, the Government of Dubai offers a licensing program that is completely online. This is the reason that it is very convenient for those who want to apply. Age limit for tour guide license is 18 years minimum. Licensing program is available in English.

Details of Documents Required for Tour Guide License Program in Dubai:

  • “No Objection Certificate” from Sponsor
  • Police Clearance Certificate from Dubai Police
  • Verified educational certificate, minimum level high school degree
  • Certificate of English Proficiency, Level 5, Upper Intermediate, or above qualification.
  • First aid certificate from an accredited safety training center in UAE
  • Emirates ID
  • Passport size photograph with white background

Cost of Tour Guide License Program in Dubai:

  • The price of the English course is 7500 AED which is 5 lakh 70 thousand rupees.
  • The course is free for Emirati citizens willing to join the course.
  • The entire process takes up to one business day.
Procedure for Tour Guide License Program in Dubai:
  • Applicants must first create an account at www.tourguidetraining.ae.
  • A reply will be received within 48 hours after submitting all the required documents mentioned in the account. If the application is approved, the applicant will submit a fee of 750 dirhams, which is 57 thousand Pakistani rupees.
  • Students have to complete the ‘Dubai Way’ program and at the end there will be a final test.
  • After passing the ‘Dubai Way’ test, applicants will have to pay Dh1,520 for the knowledge test (MCQ type questions) and interview, which translates to PKR 115,000.
  • After completing the interview, students have to pay Dh5,250 for “skill development”. Which is 4 lakh rupees.
  • After payment, students are required to complete a “Skill Development” program followed by a practical test.
  • After clearing both the tests, applicants have to fill the feedback form. After submitting this form, the student will receive their license within two days.

More or less the same procedure is followed by other states in which students can get tour guide license after completing the course.
